Director of Geriatric Services
Dr. Deborah Newquist is Director of Geriatric Services for ResCare, Inc. She is the former President/CEO of Senior Care Resources in Newport Beach, California. She received her Ph.D. from UCLA and has an M.S.W., an M.P.A., and a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Newquist’s professional experience includes positions at the Andrus Gerontology Center, USC; Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging; and Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center. She has been a Center Fellow at the UCLA-USC Long-Term Care Gerontology Center, Co-Editor of Generations, an officer on the Board of Directors of the Irvine Senior Foundation, and a consultant to the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Aging.
Dr. Newquist is past President of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and a member of the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association of Orange County. She is a member of NASW, the American Society of Aging, and the Gerontological Society of America.
