Simply stated, quality home care means doing the right thing, at the right time, in the right way – and getting the best possible results. ResCare HomeCare uses many methods to ensure continuous quality supports, care and therapies, including:
Licensure and Certification
Where available, ResCare HomeCare Branch offices have applied for operating licenses with the appropriate state regulatory and oversight agencies. Some branches are certified by the Department of Health and Human Services to participate in Medicare.
ResCare HomeCare’s nurses, caregivers and clinicians are trained in accordance with state licensing rules and regulations, undergo criminal background checks, provide references prior to employment and are fully insured. Staff members are committed to serving each client with respect and care – a commitment shared by ResCare employees company-wide.
Best In Class©
Human services are difficult to measure, but tracking our service success is vital to ensure quality services are delivered. Over the years, ResCare has continually refined Best In Class©, our comprehensive quality management tool. All ResCare HomeCare branches participate in quarterly Best In Class©reviews. The results of these reviews are benchmarked against those of similar branches throughout the company, forming the basis for continuous quality improvement plans implemented at each branch. Best In Class© reviews are externally validated annually for further reliability.
Accreditation
ResCare HomeCare seeks and obtains accreditation from the Community Health Accreditation Program. Not all branches have applied for accreditation.
Customer, Client, Patient and Employee Satisfaction Surveys
ResCare HomeCare strongly believes in asking, “How are we doing?” We extensively survey our employees, customers and third party payers. The results of these surveys are measured against those of other ResCare HomeCare operations, human services providers and non-human services organizations.
