Remote Care

Our remote monitoring and support service provides you or your loved one with care options that maximize privacy and independence while enhancing home security and safety. A state-of-the-art, Web-based Telecare system from Rest Assured®, a ResCare company, makes our innovative remote service possible. Based on your or your loved one’s specific needs, a remote service arrangement can be used either as an alternative to in-home care or to provide supplemental support. Remote services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year.   • You or your loved one can safely enjoy living independently at home with Rest Assured OneTouch, a customizable, 24/7 link to personal care. Designed to be the first step in a continuum of care, Rest Assured OneTouch summons help in an instant. With the push of a button, Rest Assured Tele-Caregivers are there in the event of fire, medical emergencies, falls, intruders and so much more. Our trained Tele-Caregivers evaluate the emergency and contact a neighbor, loved one or appropriate emergency personnel, getting the essential help when it is most vital to you or your loved one. Rest Assured OneTouch includes:
    • 24/7 access to our experienced, trained and caring Tele-Caregivers
    • Free home visit to explain Rest Assured OneTouch
    • Two way voice console
    • Small pendant style alert button for wrist or neck
    • 24-hour backup battery
  • Remote service is a patented, Web-based Telecare system. Rest Assured® installs a workstation with a broadband Internet connection as well as cameras and sensing devices in the home to enable real-time monitoring and two-way communication. Once the system is in place, we can provide a full range of services.
    • Family Support - Enables visual and two-way audio communication between your or your loved one’s home and the residence or workplace of a family member or friend. From any PC connected to the Internet, the family member or loved one can see what’s happening in the home, exchange dialog and see any alerts activated by the home’s sensors.
    • Drop-in Support - Includes family support and more. Using our Web-based Telecare system, staff members at the Rest Assured® response center will drop in at designated times to make sure all is well or to ensure that the you or your loved one are taking medication as scheduled or attending to other individual needs. We will also check the home for smoke, carbon monoxide, temperature changes, window and door intrusions or unusual movement. A minimum of three drop-in visits will be scheduled per day. In the event of any out-of-the-ordinary occurrence or emergency, our Tele-caregivers will notify local emergency services, family members, ResCare HomeCare staff or another designated contact.
    • Active Support - When drop-in support from our remote Tele-caregivers isn’t enough, Rest Assured® can provide continuous remote support for a minimum of four hours per day. Individuals selecting our active support service will also receive Family Support, enabling two-way communication between your or your loved one’s home and the home or workplace of a family member or friend.
    • Emergency Support - Can be added to Family Support or Drop-in Support services, or can be used to supplement our Active Support service (available for a minimum of four hours per day) during hours for which that service isn’t scheduled. In the event of an emergency – including smoke in the home, the presence of carbon monoxide, a significant change in temperature, window or door intrusions or unusual movement or lack of movement – sensors in the home will alert Tele-caregivers at the Rest Assured® center to respond. They will then notify local emergency services, family members, ResCare HomeCare staff or another designated contact as instructed and appropriate. When combined with our Active Support service, Emergency Support offers exceptional peace of mind and a cost-effective alternative to 24-hour in-home care or care in a long-term facility.
