Therapy

Licensed Therapies – Many ResCare HomeCare branches offer a comprehensive range of quality clinical services. Therapy services may be ordered as part of a certified Medicare service, a skilled service covered under commercial insurance or private pay or part or our neuro therapy services provided by Rehab Without Walls.

ResCare HomeCare skilled nursing/licensed services are not available in all States. Please contact the specific office in the state and/or city in which you are seeking services to verify what services may be provided.

Skilled Therapy

  • Physical Therapy - Prevents, diagnoses and treats movement dysfunction and enhances physical health and functional abilities. Plans of care may include:
    • Mobility training to develop functional and safe mobility skills
    • Therapeutic exercise to increase strength, range of motion and endurance
    • Balance facilitation to address safety and fall prevention
    • Modalities to address pain management
    • Home exercise programs and home safety evaluations
  • Occupational Therapy - Develops skills needed for you or your loved one to remain at home and in the community and engage in everyday activities. Plans of care may include:
    • Activities of daily living training (eating, grooming, dressing, etc.)
    • Management of personal or household affairs
    • Therapeutic activities to increase range of motion, coordination and endurance
    • Sensory integration
    • Facilitation of oral motor skills
  • Speech - Language Pathology - Provides treatment to enable you or your loved one to communicate effectively and improve oral motor skills to ensure safe swallowing. Plans of care may include:
    • Communication - Auditory comprehension, expression, writing/reading skills and speech intelligibility
    • Cognition - Memory and executive functioning
    • Swallowing - Diagnosis and treatment of swallowing problems and diet progression
  • Medical Social Services - Social services including but not limited to:
    • Psychosocial support strategies and techniques for independent living
    • Family counseling
    • Community contact, education and resource information
